that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us,
to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:16-21
Notice what Paul prayed for them (you):
- to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man
- that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith
- being rooted and grounded in love,
- may comprehend the dimensions of that love and
- may come to know the love that surpasses knowledge.
- be filled up to all the fullness of God.
- May He do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think.
- So that He gets the glory.
Wow! and where does this all come from?
“From the riches of His glory” or as the NLT translation puts it “from His glorious unlimited resources”.
God’s storehouse will never run out. It truly is limitless. It is limitless also in terms the nature of what is available. It all comes from His power that is at work within us. And His creativity is also our creativity. He will astound us with what He can do, way beyond our imagination. But we will deal with that when we come to it.
In the mean time think about what Paul prayed for the Ephesian church, people who were dear to his heart. Do you pray those kinds of things for your loved ones? It is a significant thing to pray God’s riches upon their lives. To know the in-dwelling Christ, to be strengthened by His power and to come to know His love. More on that in the next gem. Look carefully at verses 17-19. There is significant truth hidden there. Start praying this for yourself too. It may encourage you to know that Jesus is praying this for you as well.
Want to see a miracle? Plant a word of love heart-deep in a person’s life. Nurture it w/a smile & prayer & watch what happens.

Why was there silence in Heaven? (Rev 8:1-4) Because someone was praying! Heaven pauses to hear the prayers of someone like you.

Let someone know you care and that you’re praying for them. It may be clichéd, but it’s still true: people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care!
